An Original Song

This is one of my more recent songs that I have written. Let me know what you think:

Title: A Is For Apple, E Is For You

Worn out cliches weigh heavy on my mind,
You are catching the midnight train tonight,
This apocalyptic way of life is driving me insane,
So just stay awhile and drop these chains,
We will be set free, We will be set free.

That day still replays over in my head,
The sun of spring was shining so bright,
I saw you for the first time,
Everything felt right.

Who knew right then and there,
I would get caught in the thick and thin,
Of your eyes, your tears, your smile, your laugh,
Who knew I would end up last.

Worn out cliches weigh heavy on my mind,
You are catching the midnight train tonight,
This apocalyptic way of life is driving me insane,
So just stay awhile and drop these chains,
We will be set free, We will be set free.

The nights passed slowly-struggles abound,
I shouted your name yet I made no sound,
Dark clouds cover what were once sunny skies,
It was almost time to say goodbye.

But I couldn't bring myself to do it,
We were on the right track-bit by bit,
We got derailed,
I'd give anything to have you back.

Halfway around the world,
That's where I want to be tonight,
The sun of spring-the first time,
Everything felt right.

Halfway around the world,
That's where you are tonight,
Dark clouds cover sunny skies,
I never want to say goodbye.

Who knew right then and there,
I would get caught in the thick and thin,
Of your eyes, your tears, your smile, your laugh,
Who knew I would end up last....
